Dear visitor

My name is Colette Ponsard. I was born in Brasschaat, a village in the north of Antwerp (Belgium) on 15 november 1960. Art has been a part of my life since I first learned to hold a crayon and I have been drawing and creating for as long as I can remember. I was always a creative child with an active imagination and a flowing channel of artistic expression. Whether it was drawing or simply playing in my imaginary world, creative expression was always a part of me.
As autodidact I felt a sacred guidance that pushing me to start painting intuitively from my heart, my soul. Because my life path existed from small rituals, I linked myself with colours and brought them on canvas.
I found my inspiration during journeys to places of power, meditations, emotions or spontaneous insights. I am not a follower of only one style. I paint what ever my imagination conjures up and this gives me an enormous freedom of expression. Mysticism, very often driven by a strong urge for hidden symbols, and the Goddess are items I love to capture on the canvas.

Before I start with a new painting, according to a fixed ritual, the canvas as well as myself convenience smuggled with incense.  Then, I ask my guides and assistants to accompany me by this travel trough colours and images, and enjoy the experience of silence as it were carried on meditative music. Step by step appears the form and colours.
What important is, from the moment teardrops appears, I know that I been touched the soul of my painting.
I have found that my work intuitively, not only clear my mind, but I receive also spiritual healing in my heart.  This not only for myself, but in the meantime also confirmed by the owners of my paintings, also for others. It is very captivating and each time a challenge. I am enormously grateful for those moments.
Gladly I like to share these moments, these rainbows from my soul with you, so that they can also touch your soul softly, and that my healing also become yours. I wish you a pretty travel trough my paintings.

Please enjoy it.

Colette
